Despite practicing it for over a year, I don’t talk about pole fitness much on the blog. As soon as you say the word POLE, you get a lot of mixed reactions. Some people are impressed and want to hear more while others jump to the conclusion that you are a stripper. Meh… what can ya do.
In the last few years, pole has made a name for itself in the fitness industry and in 2012, we had the first Quebec Pole Fitness Championship. This year’s competition was yesterday and I volunteered to help behind/on stage throughout the night. Me and another girl made sure the poles were clean between every performance, that means climbing up to the top of the poles 25 times throughout the evening. But I got to spend time with my girls backstage preparing for their number and had a great view of the performances from the side stage. Which allowed me to snap some nice pictures of the girls. My bud Isabelle won silver in the pro competition and another girl from my studios won gold with her beautiful performance (last 2 pictures).
I am very proud of my friends and watching these girls (and guys!) perform makes me want to (work my ASS off and) get on stage next year.
