ON THE MOVE

Much to the cat’s delight, it’s a little chaotic at home these days. I am in the middle of a move and that means going through 3 years worth of accumulated stuff in this apartment. I was a little hesitant to move, it’s such a hassle – packing, moving and transporting heavy furniture (not to mention the apartment SEARCH). It’s also hard to leave somewhere that you’ve called home and start fresh in a place that isn’t home yet.

But now that I am only a few days away from moving day, I am impatient and giddy to get this show on the road. I can’t wait to get down and scrub some beautiful white vintage tiles in the bathroom and to clean the scary stuff behind the GAS stove. I can’t wait to play all my neglected vinyl records on my new player while painting over years of student neglected “white” walls. I can’t wait to finally hang my collection of vintage macrame plant hangers, my old framed needlepoint collection and a recently acquired 70″ wide map of Montreal from 1989. The list of I can’t waits goes on and on.

I also can’t wait to share the process on here. My tastes and style has evolved over the years and I’ve acquired some great things – and got rid of many not so great – so I am excited to bring it all together in a new home that will reflect ME better.
