ECO STYLE / COWBOY BABY

I wore this outfit to the fair over labour day weekend. I always make an effort to cowboy it up when I visit the fair (proof here, here and here). This year I planned to wear my usual cowboy boots, keeping with tradition. I don’t believe cowboy boots should be limited to country fairs – however when you have a large collection of brown leather boots, sometimes it takes an excuse like the fair to get them out of the closet. ootd-cowboy6ootd-cowboy4ootd-cowboy1ootd-cowboy2

White knit top – thrifted vintage // Skinny jeans – Second Yoga Jeans (made in Canada) // Hat – thrifted Woolrich
Bag – flea market Coach // Cowboy boots – thrifted vintage // Lace earrings – This Ilk
Sunglasses – thrifted vintage Vuarnet

Speaking of too many pairs of boots, Matt and I headed to the church sale and the flea market in town before we visited the fair. And as I was browsing some sweaters, Matt popped up beside me with a pair of cowboy boots in his hands that I had somehow missed while browsing the shoes earlier. They fit like a (tight, stiff) glove! [Thanks again Matt!] These were much more to my liking than my old pair (leather > suede) so I of course changed immediately into the new pair to head to the fair. Let’s not forget that they matched my purse, fashion 101 folks. I will definitely be finding more excuses to pull these boots out – and with fall around the corner, they will be much needed. Lets just hope my other boots don’t get too jealous.

And these jeans… notice how I included not one, but TWO butt shots in this post? I can’t help it, these Second Yoga Jeans hug in all the right ways – while allowing me to breathe (and eat fried donuts). I love that they are made in Canada, are stretchy enough for me to spontaneously bust out in a warrior II pose and not to mention I got them at 40% off. Almost makes me want to throw out every other pair of jeans and wear these 7 days a week. Almost…
