CHEAP THRILLS

cheapthrill-11-24-12TOTAL SPENT: $18.00

1. the Piece de Resistance, Vintage Sears winter coat
2. Vintage glasses (your gramma probably had the same ones)
3. Crepe pan
4. Vintage plate with cute design
5. Vintage Androck bakelite pastry blender
6. Vintage cookie cutter (my mother has this exact one in the full set)
7. Vintage seasonal cloth napkins
8. Vintage pan (at my mother’s insistance)
9. Vintage alpaca poncho

As time goes on, I spend less time in the clothing section at the church and more time in the home & kitchen sections. I know my wardrobe does not need any more additions (though I couldn’t stop myself getting that coat and poncho. I mean, COME ON – 13$ for the 2 of them. But as I get more and more into cooking, food photography and styling, I love fishing through the piles and boxes and drawers full of kitchen stuff. Sometimes I come home with the most unexpected new toys and some days I am lucky enough to find exactly what I am looking for (that pastry blender –  just like my mom’s.) And honestly, who can say no to a crepe pan? After making crepes for the first time Friday (apple, walnut and cheese) buying this guy was obviously a good investment for me.
