A little update

apart

After a busy few busy weeks of packing, cleaning, moving and painting – I’m happy to say progress has been made. The kitchen and bathroom have been painted, if not perfectly. I’ve figured out how to use my gas stove (hint – valve in back needs to be turned on). I am still trying to figure out how to get the oven working though…

Bob has discovered the existence of squirrels (he didn’t get out much, kinda like a kitty bubble boy). There is still a ton of work to be done, and things to be put away (where??). And I do believe another round of getting rid of stuff is necessary if I don’t want to live in a maze of boxes my whole life.

Strange sleeping habits, a hungry cat and lots of running around have worn me out though and if I sit down on the couch after 6pm, there’s a good chance I’ll fall asleep. I’m starting to see the downside to owning a couch big enough to sleep on. I love walking through my new neighbourhood. And now that I am closer to the mountain, i’ve been getting up early and taking morning hikes before work.

Needless to say, I haven’t had any time to create any interesting blog content. But some fun stuff happening in the next few weeks so I will be back with lots of pictures and stories. I have lots of thrift store finds to share and I am really aching to get some more outfit posts done. My second-hand wardrobe is thriving these days and I am impressed – if I do say so myself.

Meanwhile, follow me on instagram for regular shenanigans.

  • I was hoping the San Fran photos would be up, but I guess you need some time to get home and re-adjust to daily life ;)

Your new place looks cute and cozy. There’s nothing like a fresh coat of paint and I love the crispness that white walls bring to a space.
