WEEKEND MOMENTS

Time just seems to be flying right by. Maybe it’s just me. This weekend was a mix of cold and rainy + hot summer sunshine. At this point, we’ll take what we can get. Friday we decided to stay in and cook (it was raining – big surprise) and of course I suggested mac and cheese. We went and got fancy pasta, fancy cheeses (3) and some South African wine. Ours was rich and delicious but after watching a few episodes of Eat Street Saturday – every food truck needs mac n cheese –  I’m itching to try some new combinations. (Sriracha straight in the milk, cream cheese or ricotta in there, and of course trying a mac n cheese grilled cheese)

Saturday was cold and rainy so we brunched at Lawrence then hibernated indoors watching the food network. Sunday, I went to my last aerial silks class of the semester (I took some photos to share with you soon) and though it will be nice to have my sundays free again, I will miss it till the fall semester starts. After class, I walked home in the beautifully summer weather, picked up a maple iced latte @ Humble Lion and went home to clean, bake muffins, photograph some items for the shop and watch too many episodes of 2 Broke Girls. Why do they go to bed with lipstick and full makeup on? Why are they always wearing heels, even at home or while painting? How has the city not fined them for having a horse? Lucky for them, I don’t have cable or Netflix so I’m none too choosy.
