WEEKEND MOMENTS

I was Spoiled – with a capital S – this weekend. Thursday was my birthday and we celebrated with a vegetarian dinner at Lola Rosa then a stop at the candy store and finally a quick drink in a bar with a photobooth.

Saturday, after a quick visit to the Puces Pop, walked over to Arts Cafe for brunch (waffles with season fruit – rhubarb and apple) and some mint lemonade to beat the heat. Then I finished tidying up my apartment and we had a little get together with my sister and her boyfriend. I prepared all the ingredients ahead of time to make sushi rice paper rolls and we all took turns making them. Then we devoured them with a side of tamari sauce and wasabi, and washed it down with homemade bourbon lemonade.

On Sunday, after silks, we all headed to the west island to celebrate my birthday (again) with the family. I was spoiled yet again with gifts and a delicious salted butterscotch caramel cheesecake made by Matt.

Thank you everyone for spoiling me and making my birthday special! One more year in my 20s…
