The Preservation society’s delicious preserves
This past weekend, over 90 artists came together at the SAT food lab to sell their handmade art, crafts and design goods. Wipe the image of grannies selling tea cozies and Christmas ornaments out of your mind. This event was full of young hip local vendors and included a little bit of everything. It was nearly impossible to leave empty handed. I personally left with a new pair of lace earrings from This Ilk, a card for my friend Jaimee that I just couldn’t resist buying and a ‘labels are for jars’ tote bag (see last picture) from the preservation society. It would take me way too long to list all the shops pictured below but you can visit the souk@sat website to see a list of all vendors. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
AND take note that this weekend is the smart design mart – another art & design market for local artists.
