I am so far behind on posting these photos, we visited Harricana for brunch at the end of APRIL! I just finally got around to editing the photos this week. I moved (again) a few weeks ago so most non urgent matters have been put onto the back-burner. Sometimes you have to make room for things like camping and Stranger Things marathons.
Back to the matter at hand, we stopped by Harricana after visiting a vintage sale in Outremont (note my ‘new’ sunglasses). We really enjoyed our meals, the ambiance and decor of the ‘Brasserie’ were really great. It made me want to redecorate my whole home in dusty rose, subway tiles and gold. I had the veggie and goat cheese frittata (it was ENORMOUS) and Matt had the shakshuka that came with curried lentils, mackerel and latkes.
There wasn’t an enormous amount of savory vegetarian options but there are plenty of sweet ones. Next time I will most likely try the nutella, banana and vanilla-whisky butter fried sandwich was a close contender.
If memory serves, I do believe I had a cocktail consisting of rosé cider and fresh grapefruit juice, and Matt drank a selection of their draft beers. The place is large and bright and service was very friendly so we’re looking forward to visiting again.
