I originally bought this skirt for the shop – since it hung a little too low on my hips. But after procrastinating listing it for a good year, I finally decided to just reposition the buttons so it would fit me at a more flattering height. Why did that take me so long? Well I do have quite a lot of clothes so pickings weren’t exactly slim. The phaesant and quail pattern is just too great to let go.

As you can see, I’m already unconsciously gravitating toward fall colours – despite the heat wave we’re getting right now. This fall I want to wear lots of black brown and gray. Over the weekend, I bought my first pair of Second Yoga Jeans. I had seen them in a few shops and thought it was really great that they were made here in Canada. However, I didn’t have any jean needs that justified the 100$ and up price tag. But a 40% off sale is always justification for a new pair (ok I bought 2) of jeans. Anyhoo, I picked up a pair of mid/high waist burn orange skinnies – to match my hat of couse. A colour I am tempted to impulse buy every time I see them in a store when the temperatures get cooler. that is until I see they are made in China. I have not worn the new jeans yet – because that would mean accepting fall’s arrival and I am not ready to put the shorts and sandals away just yet. And judging by the (completely unreliable) weather report, we should be enjoying these warm temperatures till mid-september!
