For Raphaëlle and Christian’s wedding invitations, I painted some watercolour flowers in her wedding colours, blue and yellow. I created their initials in calligraphy and wrote their names in the same script style to match. For an extra touch, we had the printer deboss the initials and the names of the bride and groom.
When we talked about envelopes, we decided yellow would be a great way to make them pop. It also complimented the floral pattern inside, based on the invitation design.
For the RSVP and detail cards, I mixed calligraphy and type in the same styles.
For the event, I also created the individual menus and napkin designs. I will also be handwriting the place cards for the tables. It’s been a really fun project for me, it gave me a chance to combine painting, calligraphy and design in order to create Raphaëlle’s vision.
